I have been in Louisiana taking care of my father in law for the past 5 weeks. I have been working from here but think that I might have missed doing some things for you all. If there is something you have asked of me and I have not responded or completed it, could you please email me a reminder? Greatly appreciate you all and all you do for kids in your communities.

Montana YL Weekly email: Pray 24/7

As you know, prayer has been a foundational discipline within the Young Life ministry since the day Jim Rayburn formed his first club in Gainesville, Texas. Throughout our history, everything from daily work to major decisions has been preceded with a conscious effort toward prayer and seeking God’s will for the mission. As Young Life continues to grow throughout the world, the leadership of Young Life has organized this site as part of an overall prayer strategy that we hope will lead to constant, consistent and perpetual prayer for our work of introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.
Pray 24-7 is Young Life’s new prayer initiative with the vision of constant, consistent, perpetual  prayer for the work of introducing adolescents to Christ and helping them to grow in their faith.

Right now, over 95% of the folks signed up to pray are on staff internationally. Lets get this information in front of our staff so we can be praying for the requests on the Pray 24-7 site. I would love for all our staff to be registered by August 1st and we will give updates over these next 4 weeks.
If you have not signed up to pray, go to pray.younglife.org and click “Join the Team.”  This would also be a great place to “submit a request” as well.

For a Leader

For a Leader

May you have the grace and wisdom
To act kindly, learning
To distinguish between what is
Personal and what is not.

May you be hospitable to criticism.

May you never put yourself at the center of things.

May you act not from arrogance but out of service.

May you work on yourself,
Building up and refining the ways of your mind.

May those who work for you know
You see and respect them.

May you learn to cultivate the art of presence
In order to engage with those who meet you.

When someone fails or disappoints you,
May the graciousness with which you engage
Be their stairway to renewal and refinement.

May you treasure the gifts of the mind
Through reading and creative thinking
So that you continue as a servant of the frontier
Where the new will draw its enrichment from the old,
And you never become a functionary.

May you know the wisdom of deep listening,
The healing of wholesome words,
The encouragement of the appreciative gaze,
The decorum of held dignity,
The springtime edge of the bleak question.

May you have a mind that loves frontiers
So that you can evoke the bright fields
That lie beyond the view of the regular eye.

May you have good friends
To mirror your blind spots.

May leadership be for you
A true adventure of growth.
